Key Lime Pie Recipe

1/3 cup Lime Juice
Zest of six Key Limes
14 oz sweetened Condensed Milk
3 ea Egg yolks (beaten)
1 1/2 tsp Rum
4-6 drop Green Food Coloring
1 x 9 inch Graham Cracker Crust
1/2 pt Whipped Cream
2 tblsp Confectioner Sugar
1 tblsp Rum
How to make key lime pie:
  • Combine lime juice and zest.
  • Add condensed milk.
  • Beat in egg yolks.
  • Combine rum and food coloring (if desired).
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Whip cream together with 2 tblsp confectioner’s sugar and 1 tblsp rum.
  • Pour whipped cream evenly over pie.
  • Let it chill till it sets, it will take about 4 hours.
