Chhundo Recipe


Red chili powder :-Two tsp

Cumin powder  :-   Two tsp

Salt :-  25 Gms

Mangoes   :-  1 Kg (raw and deseeded)

Turmeric powder :-  2 tsp

Sugar:-  600 Gms


1)    Peel the mangoes and grate it.

2)    Take the grated mangoes and all the other ingredients too evenly.

3)    In a wide mouthed shallow jar, spread the mixture well and cover it with a help of a thin cloth.

4)    The mixture needs to be kept under the sun for close to 5 days, so that it gets an even consistency. It needs to be stirred three times a day.

5)    This dish lasts for a long time.
