Split black gram (Urad dhuli Dal) :- 1 cup
Bengal Gram (Channa Dal) :- ½ cup
Red Kidney bean (Rajma) :- ½ cup
Ginger (Adrak) :- 1 piece
Onions (Pyaj) :-4 nos
Garlic (Lasun) :-7-8 buds
Tomatoes (Tamatar) :- 6 nos
Tamarind (imli) :- as per taste
Green Chili (Hari mirch) :-2 nos
Coriander leaves (Dhania pati):-as required
Cottage cheese (Paneer):- 50 gm
Cumin seeds (jeera) :- 1 tsp
Curd (Dahi) :- ½ cup
Cream :- 1 cup
Turmeric powder (haldi) :- ½ tsp
Salt (Namak) :-2 tsp
Red chili powder (lal Mirchi) :- ½ tsp
Pepper powder (Kali Mirchi):- ½ tsp
Sugar :- 2 tsp
Clarified Butter (Ghee) :- 4 tbsp
Method Of Preparation
1) Take a container and put the kidney beans and Dal and soak it for close to 7 hours.
2) Make a mixture of garlic, ginger buds and onions.
3) Chop the tomatoes and green chilies finely.
4) Take tamarind and soak it in half cup water for close to half an hour.
5) Take all the soaked Dal and boil it in pressure cooker along with salt and turmeric. Once done remove it from flame and keep it aside.
6) In a pan, take some ghee, fry cottage cheese in it. Once done remove them out.
7) Using the same ghee, splutter cumin seeds. In it also add some onion paste, till it becomes pink in color.
8) In it add tomatoes and keep cooking it for a small duration
9) Add curd and keep stirring continuously.
10) In it add red chili powder, salt, black pepper powder, tamarind and sugar. Fry all these for a whole minute
11) Take little cream and cook it for a while.
12) Take all the boiled grams, cottage cheese and keep simmering it for 5 mns.
13) Once cooked, remove from flame and garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve it hot.
