Sonth Chutney Recipe


Whole Amchoor (dry pieces of mango) :- 120 gms

Gur (Jaggery)    :-  250 gms

Red chili powder (Lal Mirch:-  1 tsp

Salt (Namak):-   3 tsp

Ground spices  :-    1 tsp

Dry ginger powder   :-   11/2 tsp

Black salt (Black Namak)   :-   1 tsp

Cumin seed powder  :-   1 tsp

Method of Preparation

1)   Keep the Amchoor soaked in water (4 cups) overnight

2)   Boil the Amchoor in same water, used for soaking. Do this on low flame

3)   Filter it and keep adding water to give it consistency

4)   Add all the ground spices, red chili powder, jaggery, dry ginger and cumin seed powder. Add salt and mix all the ingredients well.

5)    This can be served with papri and black salt needs to be sprinkled on it. This is good to be used by 12 persons.
